When I started it, the green glue wash was way too dark. I wanted to throw it out but decided against it because I did not want to waste the paint and glue. It ended up looking pretty good. I kept adding layers until I was happy with the texture and the color. The netting stuff is the grid stuff they sell by the roll for embroidery.
