Did you ever think that you would do something...

that you never would have done a couple of years ago? I came across a couple of older Cloth, Paper, Scissors magazines and brought them to school to read during silent reading time. I try to read when they do so they see that I read, too. I can't do that a lot since I usually teach groups during that time. I reread some of the articles and saw them in a new light. I was not working with fabrics at the time of publication. The articles were more interesting to me now. I reread them with interest instead of glossing over them. I thought about the art books I still had. I wondered what they now held for me since my art has progressed since I first bought them. I guess it is time to take another look at them.

I never would have thought that I would try quilting. It was not even a thought in my mind a couple of years ago. It was one thing that I did not want to delve into. I was proud of the fact that I only could only sew on buttons. I liked being sewing impaired. A lot has happened since then.

Hmmm. I wonder if this is something that I will learn and go on to the next thing? Or, will it be something that I keep doing? I do go back to some of the same things over and over again. I still work with a lot of metals but not in the same way I used to. I still love to do mail art after all this time. That is my favorite size to work with. Don't know. Will just go with the flow. Just need to remember to not spend a lot of money on this new journey. I should use my sewing machine since I already have it. Yeah, justifying.

You never know which path you will take or where it will lead. You never know when you will come across a certain path and decide to take a different route. That the great thing about muses. Nothing is predictable. Done doing the reflection thing
