eBay warning

While I was gone at AU, someone listed a boat under my user ID. It is a good thing that eBay caught it and cancelled it. I looked at some of the messages that people sent to me asking questions. There were several people ready to buy it. The registration was in Florida but it said I listed it in Aurora, IL (where I live). Someone must have gotten suspicious and reported it. So, the moral of this story is to check your eBay account periodically, even if you have not bought or sold anything lately. I am on my eBay account all the time comparing prices, etc...I did not think to check the sell area because I was not selling anything. This all happened within a span of a few days. User beware!

this happened to me too about a year ago. someone listed 200 fake gucci purses under my ID. it took me forever to get it cleared up with ebay. make sure you scan your computer for viruses. I had a trojan (even though I had Norton software and used it all the time) and that's how they got my user id.
