Disturbing Thoughts

When I was done, it was darker than I thought it would be. So the name of my piece changed.

It does look a lot better in person. I had to use the flash and that did not help any. You can click on the picts for a larger view. I took some close-ups so you could see the detail.

What I really like about this is that there is a lot to view when you look at it closely. You need to look at it more than once or you will miss something. There is always something to look at and ponder. Each little section tells it own story. You may not know what it is but then that is where you creativity kicks in. This is a piece that you not only have to look at but you will want to touch. My son keeps coming up to it and touching it and looking for what's underneath the layers. He keeps seeing different things every time he walks by.

Now that I have conquered a larger piece, I will go and work on my some of my other projects. Comments welcome. Have you challenged yourself lately?

You will see the first parts of my piece in the next post.

I'm not used to seeing this dark form you but looking at the closeups GORGEOUS! You should be very pleased. I love that you used the stamps from Daniel and I love that you modified them. Ever the clever one, that's why I follow you whereever you go. Not literally of course. You know what I mean.

Belinda - very cool! Would love to see it in person. Love all the layers of color, the spiders I could do without, give me the shivers but the piece as a whole is awesome! Marva

Belinda - that is truely an amazing piece! I would love to see that in person. I have often seen the granular medium on dickblick and wondered "what in the world would I use that for?' Well, it really is incredible on this piece.

Kudos!

Yes, a bit disturbing LOL, but very cool! Love the textures and colors!! My 8 year old son said,"That's not crazy art that's neat...it looks like Atlantis!" :)

Wow a cool piece. I am gonna come back later when I have time to look at it more closely.

I agree it is dark and I think it is well named.
