Altered Tin collage

This is my final collage for the art-e-zine UK group. I guess I can't do bright and cheery colors. It took me awhile to get the right background colors. At first, my background was too similar to my focal point. It was too tonal for me. The green really did it. I am going to submit this piece to their website. I will let everyone know if it makes it. If it does not, then I will post all the steps here.
Comments welcome. You can click on the pict for a larger view.

Le fond est génial, on dirait du vieux métal rouillé. Vraiment j'adore !

Very nice. I like the crackling effect. I keep forgetting to try that. That tin is extra special too. However did you find it?

Nice piece Belinda. I haven't tried the crackling effect yet, but I did just do a piece that incorporated your crayon batik technique (it's on http://christinemarieart.blogspot.com). Now on to the other techniques! -- chrisenc@comcast.net
