Rejection is a sad thing

CPS rejected the ABC samplers, banners, and ATCs. I am posting on my blog because members of the Art Techniques group were part of the banners, and ATCs. I got two big boxes from UPS today. Rejection is a very sad thing. I don't know if I want to submit to Stampington mags or not now.

Hi Belinda,
I think the sad part is that they generally don't tell you why they didn't/couldn't use it. Remember, most of the time it is just because it doesn't fit their lline up not because the work isn't good. Keep going!

Of course you will continue to press on. There is no other way. Rejection is sad, but neccesary. It makes us kinder, gentler, stronger, and less full of ourselves. You're doing fine!

Belinda,

The sampler is made, the ATCs are shining, and you should not let CPS dictate our future. Please consider sending these to Stampington. After all, the sampler is vintage, and you know how Stampington loves vintage.

Alternatively, you might try Altered Arts magazine. I know you've been published in that one, too.

Hi, I'm new to the mixed media group. Please don't feel bad about CPS. The editor has iron control and her choices are idiosyncratic. I know because she has rejected me several times (tee hee). I also subscribe to Somerset and your projects would have to fit into an issue theme. It's hard to get stuff into an art mag. My past successes have been in quilting and doll mags. Onward and upward.
