This is a variation of the faux metal technique in the Somerset mag - workshop section. I thought this would appeal to found object lovers and to men. This is a more masculine frame. The copper stuff with holes is called steel hangar strap. I found it at Menards. It is 3/4" x10" coil copper plated. It only cost a few bucks for a 10 foot roll.

Hanger strap is one of my favorite metal media to work with. After all, the holes are already there. Great looking piece.
