!! 1000 Thingies Give-Away !!

I am taking a brief break from Life and it's difficulties. I realized that I am at 1008 posts since starting to blog August of 2004. Can you imagine? 1000+ posts!!!

In celebration, I am doing another give-away. I will use the random generator again. Just post a comment here about anything I have posted on my blog or comment about what you think about my blog. You can comment as many times as you want. You have until Saturday, May17, 2008, to post a comment to try and win.

I will be giving away 1000 of something. I have no idea what it will be. I will not guarantee it will be 1000 of the same thing. It will be fun though. Don't you want to win to find out? BTW, I am not responsible for miscounts. You will probably get more than 1000 of something. If you sit there and count, then you definitely need to get a more interesting life! You get what you get for FREE! I have not lost my sense of humor through this whole thing.

Okay, back to our regularly scheduled programming. I am going back to the hospice to see my sister now.

You do some lovely art work,

WOW!! You are amazing. I went through the exact same thing 13 years ago with my brother. I was at that time taking a Bob Ross Painting class. I did finish the class and painted some pretty good landscapes, but my brother's diagnosis sent me into a tail spin and I have never to this day had the desire to paint like that again. Just in Dec 06 a friend of mine showed her altered art and my interest peaked again.
Again I admire you so much for thriving to make others happy. Please take care of YOURSELF. You are the best!! Sharon

Hi, I am new to your blog as of a couple of weeks ago after finding you through links in the QA blog, the posts on the recent quilt show where you had a booth and taught classes. I have really been enjoying your writing and sharing of products and techniques and after reading your review of the Altered Surfaces book I decided to buy it at Skybluepink. Thanks for all your sharing of your work, I am positively enjoying it. The sad part is what is happening in your family, so sorry to hear about your sister. She is fortunate to have you by her side and lending support although it must be very hard for you. It takes a lot of strength to be able to lend support like that. You are lucky to have a sister you care about so much and I send you and her blessings and healing energy.

I'll be thinking of you and your family while things are so difficult for you all. You certainly don't have to explain to your "fans" that you need to take care of life (and yourself!). Warm prayers and thoughts from MN....

congratulations on 1000 posts! I was amazed to just hit 400 on my blog!
Your 2x2 metal thingy looks so interesting, I am joining the mixed media group to participate. It's not my "usual" media, so should be a fun stretch.
Your work is quite inspiring!

Sometimes life happens and we are in experiences that are new to us and maybe ones we'd rather not be involved, but that's life. Enjoy each day and savor the time spent with family/friends whether art is part of the scene or not. Make memories that will bring a smile to your face in the future.

I did leave a comment, but it doesn't seem to have shown up, so I will try again.

You have a big heart, to do something like this now. it is truly generous & thoughtful.

You have made so many friends, I hope that will be of some comfort.

Treasure your memories & take good care of yourself.

I would leave a random comment, but you deserve much more than that! As you know I've admired your stuff from a far for awhile, and finally coming face to face puts it all together! Besides an incredible talent, you're an incredibly strong person, and ya gotta love that! Keep keeping it interesting!
