Quilt binding
Hola! I just wanted to say very quickly that I appreciate all the comments about how you bind your quilts. I have opted for just a plain zigzag stitch. That does not mean that I won't keep trying. I will keep trying and will look at how other people do theirs. It will come, it always does. Thank you to all the quilters out there who shared with me their techniques, their thoughts, and their time.

I don't think that I answered you on MM Art Friends, but here's how I frequently bind my small art quilts (also works for ATC's & postcards). I freemotion zigzag several cords, ribbons, torn fabric strips or yarns together. When I have a piece long enough, I zigzag them to the edge of the piece. Very clean and neat edging and doesn't add much bulk. If you're interested in more details (like which foot to use, etc.), just email me at amdesaulniers@rogers.com. You can also see some of the edging at my group site, www.fibreartstudios.com.
Have a creative weekend.

I like the zig-zag, slightly unfinished, look. For the quilt binding, it's one of those things you really need to see done. Wish I could come show you LOL.
