Quick update on CHA

Tim's make 'n take
Suze's beeswax art. It is so much better in real life!

Need to go to sleep! Extremely exhausted! On my feet all day. Went to dinner with Christina from skybluepink, Peggy, and some very nice people from Stanislaus. Chatted a lot with Michael and Stan. Sherry has beautiful triplets. AWWWW!!! Way too cute.

Day went by rather quickly. Always filled up for make 'n takes except during lunch time. It took a bit longer than expected but people really liked it. Did it all day long until 4 pm. I did a bit of walking around until I went to dinner.

Creative Options has a way cool tote as usual. They have the funky polka dots and the BEST bags.

I did the Tim Holtz make 'n take. It took just a few minutes. It was so simple yet looked great around my neck. He does create some good _ _it! I mean stuff. I did see him but did not speak to him. He had hoards of people around him. He was having his pict taken every few minutes. I did see Bernie Berlin on the way out. Suze Weinberg is doing some very fun things with UTEE. She did her new beeswax technique for me. Sample pict above. It is sooo fun! Thanks, Suze. She is always so nice and gracious. She has a gorgeous daughter and grandson. Amate is coming out with copper ring bezels. Suze will probably carry it. Where is my resin? On the way out, I chatted with Claudine Hellmuth. She has a new line of paints out. I did a very fun make 'n take with Plaid. They had a ton of girl stuff that I could do and give to my daughter but not a lot for my son. I will need to make up for that.

I was not surprised that the crowd was not as large as last year. Seemed like fewer vendors as well. There were a lot of faces that I recognized from previous make 'n takes. Some bad news, next summer's CHA is supposed to be in Orlando instead of Chicago. Bad for me since I live near Chicago. BTW, I saw Robin Beam at the Streuter booth. Her metal embossed bracelets look so much better in person than the picts posted on her blog.

Loved the Prima flowers. Much more home decor stuff. Still lots of scrapbooking stuff but it was organized by category this year so I did a lot less walking to different areas. Still need to cover more areas tomorrow.

Back to Dremel, two Dremel experts were helping me today with the drilling, driving (using the cordless screwdriver), and answering technical questions. I could not have done it without them. They are way terrific. I will try to remember to take picts of them tomorrow and post. Andrea also came by near the end. She looked very summery in her very cute dress. She did the make 'n take and did a fantastic job. Pat, I hear your mom is a real dynamo.

I got the new summer catalog for the Tim Holtz ideaology line. I think someone has it up on their website as well. Short version: Fragments in different sizes, keyholes, snaps, stencils, washers with rectagular middle holes, grungebooks in tabbed and brackets, grungeboard shapes in lightbulb, wine and bottle, umbrella, drink, dog, car, telephone, and hanger, and tons of other shapes(4 sheets), nature grungeboard, wintery grungeboard, and masks. I am actually really groovin' on the masks. I love the Heidi Swapp ones. They make such great backgrounds.

Off to have a cup of tea and pass out. More tomorrow.

Hey, Belinda!

I can't thank you enough for taking the time to write. So much great info.

Isn't it fun to be excited and exhausted at the same time? :)

Have fun! I'll check back tomorrow!
