New Giveaway: Dremel 100 Series!

You have until August 14th to leave a comment. I will pick a winner August 15th from the Random Number Generator. Just tell me about your Dremel experiences or what you would do with a Dremel.

Here are the 100 series specs:
http://www.dremel.com/en-us/Tools/Pages/ToolDetail.aspx?pid=100+Series

Dremel also has a new DVD out with how to use their tools and has some projects on there - not our kind of art but it shows the tool in use. It is very useful in learning how to use the tool in general. Did I mention that the DVD is free? Here is the link:
http://www.dremel.com/en-us/customerservice/ManualsAndLiterature/Pages/default.aspx
On the same page is their accessories guide poster. It might not look the best printed out- have not done it myself - but it is a great reference guide.

Good luck! Thanks to Dremel for providing me with this great giveaway!

Let's see......for charms. Since I am clearly addicted to looking at things and asking....how could I make this into a charm. I think the dremel would certainly make life easier!!!

A Dremel of my own! That would be so cool. My son owns one and puts up with me when I ask to drill holes in little bits of art. But he hopes to be moving out of state soon to a new job. So to win your giveaway would be really something!

Love your blog and the inspiration I find here!

OK I would like to update mine. I used to use mine when I worked in ceramics. I figured out how to clean my dry raw stoneware pieces. Messy but effective.

I don't currently have a dremel, but would love to have one. I would like to do so many things if I had a dremel, like cut, sand, engrave, and polish. Thanks for having a great giveaway!

Hi Belinda,
I would love to win a dremel because I currently have to share with my son. I would love to have one of my very own.

Dremels are fun... you can use them to carve and make stamps, when you make jewelry, things like that!

OMG to have a dremel would be a dream! It would come in handy for all the doll adornments and mixed media projects I do. Would be great to have.

OMGosh! My dremel just burned out. I use it for everything. I just love it, or loved it! I've used it to engrave metals, to sand wood working projects as well as distress edges on books that I've made. I have tiny drill bits that are great for drilling holes for the tiny hinges or to make holes to string together covers and signatures in books. It even works great on acrylic, although you have to go slowly or it melts and gunks up the drill bit. It's a great tool. Too bad mine died. :(

So far I have used the dremel to drill holes in metal. Just recently I used it to drill holes in brass and copper mesh and leather all at once when making and an etched metal necklace in a class with Jen Crossley. I would like to use it a whole lot more though.

My Dremel experiences have mostly been a big bust. I never know what to do with all those doo-dad parts it comes with, though I usually manage to do whatever it is I set to to, with it- as long as I don't mind that whatever I've Dremeled is a bit mangled around the edges. LOL

Hi Belinda-
What a great giveaway. But, if you pick me, then go on to the next person since I already have a Dremel. I just wanted to comment!!

I bought a Dremel for "junk" jewelry making and have been having a lot of fun with it. But, I also use it for household stuff. The last thing I did was "make" some really old curtain rods into garage sale signs. I would never have been able to cut and pierce them without the Dremel, and best of all the rods were free!!

Good luck to everyone in the drawing!!

I received the cd and begun practicing with my husbands. Sanding, etching and drilling mostly, but my goal is to get my own so I can really blow up my craft experience! Gina

Oh my goodness. I would love to win this dremel givaway. I don't have one but would really like one. I have these patterns of guitars and lizards that I want to cut out, and this would be perfect. Without it I won't be able to work on my project.

You can use a dremel for all kinds of things! I could use them in my crafting, helping make holes and cutting windows in my altered books, drilling holes in my pmc jewerly, polishing my polymer clay jewerly, making signs to hang in my home ( with clever sayings) grinding off sharp edges on my altered art materials, the list could go on forever! I would love to own a dremel!

I would love a dremel - for making books, just adding holes, sanding. So much to do with only 1 tool ! Thanks for considering a dremel newbie !

You can never have enough tools of the trade, can you? I had a Dremel years ago, but never used it - I believe another family member has "inherited" it, LOL. I would use it for drilling little holes in everything!

A tool that isn't so huge to be intimidating!!! YEAH!!!! Please pick me - and come teach me, lol.

So, DH "borrowed" my Dremel and took it down to work--at least I get visitation rights. It would be nice to have my own at home again!

I don't own a dremel, so it would be awesome to win yours. I think I would start with a piece of jewelry, maybe alter some dominoes (I like the large size to start off with) add ink, stamp, add a charm or two.The idea of it all is so exciting that if I don't win yours, I might have to go out and buy my own!

I used my old dremel in my classroom for drilling and cutting gourds with the 6th graders. This year I drilled into wood bases for really cool recycled stocking sculptures. I've lost lots of pieces and could use a new and improved dremel! Thanks for the fabric postcard tutorial. I made 2 yesterday.

Been catching up on your blog.. This sounds wonderful.. I have used an old dremel for sanding fine areas but mostly for drilling for charms and altered art. I made a nature inspired wind chime using drift wood and other found items. I would love to try for a new one.. You are too kind for offering your readers this chance.. Thank you very much.

Tried using a dremel for the first time last week to drill holes into polymer clay for buttons. I forgot to hold onto my button and it went whirring around the dremel bit forever, startling me, until I fugured how to turn off the drill. Thank goodness I was with friends and we got a good laugh out of my surprise.

Wow! Best giveaway ever! I have had to use a plain old drill so far. That would be a dream come true.
My fingers and toes are crossed!

I would like a Dremel so I can use two part epoxy and make deep little houses with things sticking out of them. I just went shopping for one but came home empty handed.

My very own Dremel!!! that would be wonderful!
I have never used one...I hear such good things about them.

I would use the dremel to sand down the edges of my pendants. Hand sanding is so time consuming! I love Dremels, I even have a dremel song (it's to the tune of the "dradle song", I sing it whenever I see a dremel!)

Thanks for sharing your creativity!

If I had a dremel, I would be able to double my production and work on bigger wood projects. Currently I sand everything by hand!

I want my own power tool so I can bling it out and my husband won't touch it. I'm a hole driller fur shur!

Wow, I would LOVE to have a Dremel instead of the knockoff I have now. I would use it to make assemblages, jewelry, and just about every other thing I can think of. I would also be able to drill holes in a failed altered book project that fell apart. I've lost interest in the project since I tried punching out the holes one at a time.

Belinda, what a fantastic giveaway. I would love to have one of these babies. I have no power tools at my house! :( I live in a townhouse, so the Dremel would be perfect for me as it does so many things. I'm thinking it would be great for art, and also come in handy for fixing things around the house. There have been many times I've wished I had something like this.

Thanks for the reminder on FB! I'd love a Dremel for making bezels, junk jewellery, assemblages and mostly, for being independent. No more asking DH to "help" and getting grumped at!
I already bought a power Jig saw to cut my own wood panels!

Belinda - thanks for the great give away! I don't currently have a dremel, but I would use it for carving stamps and for drilling holes when making journals/books

What a great giveaway. I would love to have one for my sculpting and cutting those metal rods which I currently use a rod cutter for. which is hard on my poor little hands :-(. Oooo, this would be so nice!!

This is such an awesome give-away! I'm glad you issued a reminder to leave a comment. I don't own a dremel and would really love to have one. Have wanted one for a while. I'd use it for a variety of multi-media projects from jewelry, domino art, charms, wooden painted objects, altered art, etc. I also assume I can use it to drill holes, sand, buff, polish, etc. etc.

Good luck to the winner. Thank you for your generosity!

Well right now i am making an electric violin and i am borrowing a dremel from a friend but i have to return the same day i use it and sometimes he is not home so i can only use a craft knife and that is really delaying my progress. it has been 2 months now and i have only finish the body. if i had my own dremel then it would considerably speed things up.

Darn! I haven't checked your blog for a while and now you have a Dremel giveaway and I'm too late! Anyway I'm on mmartfriends and I would use it to drill the dominos that my sister just gave me. An entire set. Yeah!
