Book Review: Steampunkery

I got this book without even looking at it. It is one of those things where I had to make the $25 for Amazon so I wouldn't have to pay for the shipping costs. I did not know the entire book was about making every project with polymer clay. I dabble with that stuff but don't use it enough to be able to do the projects inside. I don't have that kind of patience. The projects inside are very detailed and very cool. I have a thing for steampunk. I love the look and the book is definite eye candy for me. The book ended up with my friend, Harriet, who will try the projects in the book. The instructions inside are step-by-step and easy to follow. The pictures are clear and colorful. Some of the stuff is not very steampunk to me but that is neither here nor there. Whatever. If you work with polymer clay, are detail oriented, can mold polymer clay to look like cool looking animals/bugs/dragons/sci fi characters, then this book is for you. If you are a steampunk fan and just want to appreciate the use of the steampunk elements, there is plenty of that inside this book.

Oh I took her class at CHA and it was awesome! The hearts themselves are sooo cool! Sooo easy, had never done clay before and I was hooked.
