I'm in the Spring issue of CPS Studios

I will never fail to get excited about being in a magazine! It is the best feeling to see your artwork and writing in print. Yes, yours truly has a short article in the upcoming issue of CPS Studios. This is supposed to be a humungo issue full of great stuff. I haven't gotten to see the entire issue yet but have heard very good things about it. It should be worth it just to see me, me, me in it and my eclectic art space.

Quilting Arts/Cloth Paper Scissors email Newsletters

I am busy forwarding issue 93 to people. More than happy to do so. If you like it, then you might want to subscribe to it on a regular basis. Here is the link:

http://quiltingarts.com/qallc/eNewsletter_form.html

BTW, I don't get anything for this, but QA and CPS are my favorite mixed media art magazines. You can get some great deals for their magazine subscriptions.

If you requested #93 and you don't see it by tomorrow, then take a look at your bulk/junk mail bin. I might be there. Email me again, if you don't see it tomorrow.

DIY Bangles in lastest CPS newsletter

The newsletter came out on Monday. I have not had time to write about it. Other people actually told me about it at some workshops that I was teaching this week. It is in issue #93 of their email newsletter. It is not archived yet, so I cannot give you a link to it. Email me and I will forward it to you, if you would like. Some people have asked about the bangles.

Here is Robin Beam's blog - she has some great samples of bangles that she did using Streuter's glue foil (which I really need to try, anyone have a sample?):

If you are interested in the glue foil, here is the Streuter website:

Scroll down to the bottom and they have a demonstration video -we all love those technique demos, don't we? There is also a link to buy some of the glue foil at the bottom. It says "purchase here" in red. Glue foil is foil sheets that already have the adhesive on the back. You can easily emboss on this and just stick it on whatever you want. If you work with metal sheet, then you know how hard it can be sometimes to keep the metal glued onto a surface. I am going to get the copper glue foil. Hmmm. I bet their regular glue film would work great with my copper sheet. Okay, need to go and play now.

Thanks so everyone who emailed me and told me about my bangles being in the CPS newsletter. I am also in the latest issue of Quilting Arts magazine, which I do not have yet. Others have received their copy and have emailed me to tell me. Thanks for letting me know. I just need it to show up now.
