This is the crayon batik method using watercolor crayons on watercolor paper. The effect was wonderful but too subtle for me. I like things to POP! So, I used a Tim Holtz Distress Pad in black soot. I just lightly swiped it to get the look I wanted. Important to swipe lightly and in one direction.
