CHA: New Ranger Dabbers and other new products

These two tags are samples that Tim Holtz made for me at CHA. I asked him to demo the new dabbers for me. You should have seen the crowd around me as he did this! Man can attract a swarm! Anyway, the top one is just showing how you can get the dry brush effect with this product. You can use it straight out of the bottle because it has a spongy applicator on it. It does not dry out. You reactivate it by tapping it on scratch paper. It will not gunk up like other products. You can also blend straight from the bottle. If you get another color on the applicator, then you just need to tap it on the scratch paper to get it off. It was very easy to use and to blend. The finish is very smooth. You can also do edging with it like a distress pad. It comes in 36 colors. I think it is an awesome product to use for my journaling and for my postcard sized art. I would not use it for exhibit pieces, but I think it would be great for anything else. Yes, I will probably buy one of each color. I think it is great for workshops because you can use a variety of colored acrylics without wasting paint. How often do you waste paint because you squeeze out too much and you need to find somewhere to put the excess? I think they would also be great door prizes and gimmes. Price is very reasonable.

I also like the mini misters. They were used at the demo booth for Ranger and I saw something similar when I did a make n' take at Luminarte - Twinkling H2Os. The misters are a great size for misting the H2Os to activate the color. I like the small size because the mist is more controlled. Also a great workshop item.

There was also some new Glossy Accents products. Although I really have not used Glossy Accents in the past, I think I will start. They have new ones out in sepia, crackle, and matte. They would be fun for focal images. I think that they would be great for cabinet cards and for journaling.

I got lots of great ideas for my upcoming workshops.

Neat new products. I couldn't make it to CHA summer so thanks for the explanation. I am curious as to how the second tag example was made? Can you tell more about it.

Thanks,

Thanks for the link to email @ the paint dabbers. I can't seem to find a supplier for them.
