Timeless pieces

Okay, so I scanned it a little crooked. This is my sample arch piece for the January challenge in the Mixed Media Art group. The background is from a scrap piece of emulsion background. I sanded off the faces. I wanted a worn, old look. The white writing around the edges says," faces disappear, pictures are forgotten, yet it still remains underneath". Grammatically correct, no. Even is something is faded and unrecognizable, it is still there.

I took the focal point off because I was not grooving on the color. I think I like absence of an image better.

I like both versions, as they each have their own character, even though the one with the main feature removed has more mystery.
