Newest ATCS - Create or die a slow death

Click on the pict to get a larger view. Here is an example of the finished product. Simpler is better for me. There is a little bit of warping because I used glue stick on a chip board back.
Sorry the pictures did not load in order even though I put them in order when I uploaded them. This is the background. I used black acrylic paint for the spider web. The template I used is from Coffee Break Designs and I got it from Retro Cafe Art Gallery's Booth while at Create. The background was done using old text from dictionaries and other hard cover texts. I colored it with Clearsnap Smooch Spritz. Edged with Clearsnap stamp pads.
I did the Spider and ant with the new mixed media pigment stamp pads, embossing powder, and heat gun. Gave it a little bit of pop because it was black against black with the web.
Here is a picture of the chipboard backs being glued to the text papers. I tried contacting the person who I used to get the ATC backs from but I have not heard back from her yet.
Here is another picture of the finished ATC.
Picture of my favorite pair of Fiskars scissors. Love these little things!
How the background looks before I do anything.
I used a brayer to put the black paint on the web and pressed it onto the background. See below to see the results on the ATC backs.
These ATCs are for a swap for my Mixed Media Yahoo group. I am sending them out to each person in our swap. Just stepping out how I did the ATCs. Can't wait to see what people send me!

Fantastic Belinda! I love how you used the spider web overlay like a stamp. Brilliant! FYI, we do carry Chipboard, Masonite, Stencil Board (more like a thin chipboard), and Acrylic ATC blanks in the shop too! You said you were looking for some :).

Kris

Really nice!! I was reading a comment you made on quilting daily site and had to stop by and see your mail art and other stuff. I didn't expect it to be so cool. The spiderweb design is fantastic!
