I got the news this weekend that she has only about 6 months - give or take. I was devastated. I knew in the back of my mind, but hearing it out loud made it a reality. She recently fractured some bones in her back from falling in the bathroom. The chemo and radiation made her bones more brittle - from what I was told. She has been in and out of the hospital a couple of times in the past 3 weeks. She is constantly on meds for the pain. She is wearing a back brace right now.
I have been very upset. I cannot stop being upset. She will be coming home from New York. She won't be doing chemo any more. It might be doing more harm than good at this point. The problem is getting her home. She cannot really travel. I will probably have to go and help out with the travel part of this.
The only thing I can do now is spend as much time with her as possible. It's a good thing that summer is coming up fast. I will be off of school and can spend my days with her and my kids.
Thanks to everyone who sent me cards, prayers, and asked about her. It means a lot to me.

oh Belinda
I am so sorry you have to go through this so early in life. I hope that your sister is close enough that you can visit each other and bring what comfort you can for each other.
It is a sad time.
Oh Belinda - I'm so sorry to hear about your sister! It's so hard to hear that diagnosis. I went through something similar with my dad... I will keep you all in my prayers. Marva
Belinda: my prayers are with you, your sister and your family. I'm happy for you and your family to have the time left with her to spend it as joyously and positively as is possible. I believe she will leave this earth with a smile and will know her family loves her and will watch you all as you travel thru your lives and send you love and blessings thru-out your time on earth. Make each and every moment count, for her, for you, for your family.

I'm so sorry to hear your sister isn't getting better. This is devastating news. If there is anything I can do, please don't hesitate to ask. I'm only an e-mail away.

Belinda, there are no words. I am deeply sorry. I am glad that she is coming home. When the chemo does more harm than good, it's time to come home and be loved goodbye.

I'm so sorry, Belinda. This is so hard. I have Stage IV breast cancer, so I can relate a little bit. At some point I'll be stopping treatment, and that's hard for both the patient and her family/friends.
I'll be thinking about you. I hope you get some comfort from your wonderful art.
