Ike remnants update

It has been raining here for a few days now. It has been fierce at times. A lot of water has fallen in a very short amount of time. I cannot believe that another soccer club played their games. My son's club cancelled all games. It was an away game so he played in the rain. He got soaked and his uniform was filthy. It took 3 washes with Stain Stick to get most of the mud off. So far, we are relatively unscathed. Lots of roads closed due to high water. Some basements are wet. Retention ponds are about to flow over. If you don't know, I live in a western suburb of Chicago. Some people south of us in Central Illinois were not so lucky. An art friend of mine had her roof fall in and several inches of water in the basement.
