New blog giveaway

Sorry, have been busy with school. Have a ton of assignments due in October for my reading class. Won't be posting much. Do have time for a little giveaway though since I have not done one since school started. Sequins, sequins, sequins, and a bit of 6mm buttons. The sequins are mostly the small flower ones. There are a couple of packs of misc. sequins. Just comment to this post by Wednesday and I will pick a winner on Thursday. If I don't hear from the winner by Sunday, then I will post the giveaway again. Good luck!

Belinda, You sure have a great way of keeping this blog lively and interesting. I love all the many art interests you have to share with us all. I constantly learn something new from your lessons and creations. Please put my name in the drawing hat for the sequins. Thanks, Ethel Burnham

Sequins and buttons are way too cool,
And I would like to have a stash.
They would find a wonderful home,
In my embellishment cache!

I would love to win your give a way. I am just starting to use these and it would be great to have small amounts of various colors.
I love what you did with Zack. Letting him design and participate in making his own monster. Great way to spark their creativity.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the flower sequins, I'm not sure I've seen sequins in that shape before. Love the colors, but I think the green bag might be my favorite!

Small story about my last sequin purchase that I bought from Fire Mt Gems. I bought 3 colors of 250 gram packs of sequins, wasn't thinking that was very many sequins. Um, sequins really don't weight that much..............I swear there were over a million sequins in each bag, when I was only really expecting maybe 100? Well ok, maybe not a million in each bag, but these will last me a 2 life times.

So, if I win on your giveaway, I would love to send you some in return!!! :)

Just had to post again. I too am from Chicago, the south side. Brother lives in Bridgeport and a sister lives in Morton Grove. Sure miss my Chicago dog and italian beef sandwiches.
Am reading down thru your blog and saw the plexiglass post. I too thought of that or acrylic and cutting it down. I have had my dremmel for years. Love it. Small note. Next time you go to the dentist office ask for old filing and sanding drill bits. I did when I took daughter and he gave me a handful. Work great with the dremmel and cost is free and it gives you some new bits to play with. I am thinking designs or scroll or different edgings. Worth a try. I have a blog CreationsbyLSM. Would love for you to look and comment. Will contact you when I next get up to Chi town.

I promise I am not crazy. At 61 maybe you could say that I am getting on in age, but that is all. I forgot also to tell you I have been playing with my hot wax tool. I am working on my first Altered Book and did the cover with the bees wax and pigment cubes. Started with gesso on the cover, then when dry used 3D molding paste to add hills and valleys. Then instead of using the melting pot I just put a few pieces of the wax down and using the tool melted and moved it to where I wanted it. Used the pigments to add color and then used pearl x to add a little more color and the used beadez for some accents. Just got some chipboard letters and doing the wax and metalic rubbings and will finish with metal foil, when I can locate where I have it. Will post a picture to my blog when done.

Ooh I could be the first comment on your blog for your give away. How cool is that? I love sequins and the sequin waste. They remind me of making Xmas balls year round when I was a kid. My Mom gave us a TV tray full of supplies and we were to work on them while watching our shows. I became quite fond of sequins! Now I love them on everything. Can't be too glittery.

What a thoughtful give away Belinda. I can't even find sequins like these where I live and I have been drooling over them when I see them on the work of others. Hugs, Dotti

Glad to see that you are still having fun, even though you are busy with school. I also noted an article on CPS using the hot wax stylus tool. Loved your sample for that article.

Hi Belinda
This is the first I've seen your blog as I'm new to Next Generation Stampers. I look forward to seeing your art, hopefully with a couple bags of sequins in front of me...heh heh. Really, I've actually been eyeing sequins in the craft store the last couple times I've been there, contemplating projects in which I can use them....I love sparkles!

You've also piqued my interest in dying fabric. I can't wait till summer to see your creations.
